Riesling Grand Cru Rangen Volcanique 2017, Julien Schaal
France / Alsace
Intense and expressive and packed with ripe fruity hints of apricot and candied lemon. Pronounced minerality and crisp refreshing acidity. Best from 2021 – 2030. Muscular and powerful Riesling produced on the only vineyard in Alsace with a unique volcanic sub strata.

Spectacular. Planted on granite soil, a wine of immense complexity yet with a beguiling nuanced personality. So harmonious and textured with dried fruit, apricot, almond, praline, honey and distinctive mineral overtones. Spice, roasted nuts and bergamot add to the final flourish.

An excellent vintage in this area of Tuscany. Il Poggione are a hugely respected and critically acclaimed producer who in this year (2012) have produced a Brunello of impeccable style, richness and freshness. Lush plum, cherry, aromatic spice, herbs and violets. Super stuff.
Don Maximiano Founder’s Reserve 2015, Errazuriz
Chile / Aconcagua Valley
Always a new world classic – this vintage (2015) has more refinement and poise yet hasn’t lost its appealing richness and complexity.
