Super stylish with a lot going on! Apricot, citrus, grapefruit, spice, honeysuckle, aniseed and vineyards herbs all put in an appearance. Richly textured yet very refreshing with a pleasing minerally finish.
70% Garnacha Blanca
20% Viognier
10% Rousanne
Winemaker Pepe Fuster produces this wine from his 26 ha vineyard in Terra Alta, near Tarragona in southern Catalonia – from 100% organically-grown grapes. Cool fermented in stainless steel.
We also stock from La Bascula their Catalan Eagle red 2018 – a blend of Garnacha 45%, Cariñena 20% and Syrah 20%, with the remaining 15% made up from Cabernet Sauvignon.

La Báscula is the name given to the Spanish wine range produced by Ed Adams MW and South African winemaker Bruce Jack. The term itself means weighing scales, and represents the balance between indigenous Spanish varieties and modern winemaking. Their philosophy is to focus on small volumes and really high quality – making wines that offer excellent value for money whilst being true to the regions they represent. The result is fine, ripe, concentrated wines.
