Muscat à Petit Grains Rouge
Stanton and Killeen
Classic Rutherglen Muscat NV, Stanton and Killeen
Australia / Victoria
Andy's Tasting Notes
Good as their standard Muscat is, the Classic designation is a step up in depth, complexity, length and concentration. Christmas cake, mincemeat, toffee, caramel, praline and figs are all there!
Rich yet surprisingly very fresh and lingering.

141 years young – “The Stanton family, originally from Suffolk in England, worked hard to establish a vineyard with many setbacks such as phylloxera, drought and the Depression. Norman Killeen married Jack Stanton’s daughter, Joan and in 1954 gave birth to 6th generation winemaker Chris Killeen. In 1968 the business name was changed to ‘Stanton and Killeen Wines’ and thus started a new phase in the history of the winery. Today the business is owned and managed by mother-daughter team Wendy and Natasha Killeen.” – quote taken from the Stanton and Killeen website.
“Each year we work hard to produce the best wines that are reflective of the season and in keeping with the S&K style. If Mother Nature has thrown down a challenging year and a certain wine doesn’t make the cut, it doesn’t get bottled As simple as that! The unique story that each vintage reveals is what I love most about exploring and enjoying wine.” NATASHA KILLEEN – 7th Generation
