Andy's Tasting Notes
A great value, bang for your buck, red. Produced from dry-farmed bush vines. Lots of juicy raspberry, strawberry and redcurrant fruit with aromatic and fragrant notes of liquorice, gentle spice and cranberry compote. Supple and rounded with excellent concentration for its modest price tag.
85% Carignan
15% Grenache
Producer notes – production: The humble Carignan variety can produce captivating wines when grown in adversity. In the coastal mountains of Chile, the grapes for Debajo wine are grown in an unirrigated, rocky vineyard where the vines’ roots have to burrow deep to find water, nutrients and minerals. This struggle results in a wine with great concentration of flavours.
