Melon de Bourgogne

Andy's Tasting Notes
If you haven’t tried Muscadet in the last 10 years from a good producer then you’ve been missing an exciting renaissance in this previously maligned region. In the hands of this consummate winemaker this is a ripe, texturally rounded example, with rich baked apple fruit, almond and bergamot notes. A lovely crisp style with correct acidity and a hint of the salty, nearby, Atlantic on the finish.
Definitely worth the outlay. Highly recommended.

Currently, one of the most talked about producers in the Loire with a burgeoning reputation and great demand for his wines from many of the smartest and highest rated restaurants in France. Francois has with other young vignerons in this area changed the perception of Muscadet from a simple drink into a wine of quality and style.
Francois currently farms around 45ha but will steadily reduce this by around 10ha over the coming three years in order that he can progress from their current organic certification through to a full biodynamic regime.
