Andy's Tasting Notes
There is elegance and refinement in this Altentejo red, yet it doesn’t lack for richness, structure and complexity. Hedgerow berries, blueberry, mocha, cracked black pepper and toasted oak, with secondary nuances of black olive, wild herbs and mint. Produced from vines situated on schist, granite and loam soils.
Grape varieties – Alicante Bouschet, Touriga Nacional, Aragonez, Syrah, Trincadeira, Cabernet Sauvignon, Touriga Franca.
Will further improve with age, and keep till 2027.
The first wine made by Esporão in 1985. Obtained from grapes grown at Herdade do Esporão, it shows the consistency and rich character typical of the best Alentejo wines.
