One of the great Rheingau vineyards coupled with its stellar producer.
This Erstes Gewächs (First Growth) has concentrated minerality and citrus fruit which provides complex interplay. Now with the added bonus of nearly 10 years bottle age, this is coming to the peak of its drinkability. Now fully mature best drunk by end of 2022.
This is world class dry Riesling with style, panache and power. Really comes into its own when served with classic cream based sauce dishes.

Producer Info
From a family with a long history of wine production (starting in 1648, no less), Franz Künstler founded the present estate in 1965. It has vines in some of Hochheim’s greatest vineyards and Gunter Künstler (Franz’s son) makes wines which are widely acknowledged to be amongst the Rheingau’s – and Germany’s – finest Rieslings.
