Jordan Wine Estate
Inspector Péringuey Chenin Blanc 2017, Jordan Wine Estate
South Africa / Stellenbosch
Andy's Tasting Notes
A rich, rounded and citrus fruit tinged Chenin with overtones of tropical fruit, subtle creamy oak, honey and nutmeg. Dry and textural yet balanced and fresh.
A serious bottle of Chenin Blanc for its price. Will develop more complexity if aged further till 2023.
Named after Louis Albert Péringuey, the 19th Century Inspector-General of Vineyards in the Cape, who led the fight against phylloxera and supervised the importation of American rootstocks onto which the various vineyard varieties were grafted.
Low stock now of the 2017, we will be following on with the 2018 vintage.
Price per bottle £11.90
