Philip Shaw Wines
Philip Shaw The Wire Walker Pinot Noir 2018
Australia / New South Wales
Andy's Tasting Notes
This is a caressing and hugely appealing Pinot Noir with subtle and bright raspberry and strawberry fruit, refined subtle tannins and exquisite layers of savoury complexity. It’s a wine of gentle and pure style yet with a personality that keeps you coming back for another sip. A whisperer rather than a shouter!!

Philip Shaw Wines are a byword for elegance and balance, and totally de-bunk the myth that all Australian wines are just big, just fruit, and just loud!!
Now in their 30th year of production (2019) the wines are produced in the 47 hectare Koomooloo Vineyard in the high altitude cool climate region of Orange. Soil structure is mainly limestone and volcanic rock with red loess top soil blown from Central Australia on the wind. All grapes are hand-sorted and rigorously selected.
