A Ribera del Duero that totally hits the sweet spot. A lovely contrast of Duero wildness and richness counter-balanced by pitch perfect freshness, refinement and structure. Rich black fruits, spice, clove, smoky oak and rounded tannins.
If possible, decant 1 hour before serving.
100% Tinta del Pais (Tempranillo)
Producer notes – production: 100% Tempranillo (Tinta del Pais) from 225 hectares of meticulously tended vineyards near Peñafiel in the centre of Ribera del Duero. Grapes are selected from the best plots (according to soil type and exposure) and are hand harvested. After 35 days maceration the wine spends 15 months in new French oak barrels with regular battonage.

Set up in 2001 by a group of growers in the Peñafiel district, a privileged zone within DOC Ribera del Duero, Bodegas Pinna Fidelis produces stunning expressions of the local Tinta del Pais variety. Located in town of Peñafiel itself, where the Duero and Duratón rivers converge, Pinna Fidelis has modern winemaking facilities and a philosophy based on simplicity.
