Waterford Estate Cabernet Sauvignon 2017
South Africa / Stellenbosch
Andy's Tasting Notes
A classically styled Cabernet with the emphasis on fine structure and poised, elegant richness. A dominant note of cassis melds with cherry, tobacco, cocoa and clove. The balance is perfect with admirable freshness. Excellent length.
Lovely to drink now, or keep till 2030 for further development.
94% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3 % Petit Verdot, 2% Cabernet France, 1% Merlot

The estate is owned by the Ord family and has been developed under the watchful eye of Kevin Arnold, Cellarmaster and Managing Partner, since 1998. A World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) Conservation Champion and accredited Integrated Production of Wine (IPW) estate, Waterford also has Wine and Agricultural Ethical Trade Association (WIETA) accreditation and is a member of the Biodiversity in Wine Initiative (BWI).
