Zagare Vermentino 2020
Italy / Sicily
Andy's Tasting Notes
A sunny and zingy white with a subtle yet refreshing appeal. Close your eyes and think of a sun-kissed seaside restaurant!
(If you’re a fan of the Inspector Montalbano books/tv series then this wine will bring back happy memories!).
Named after the flower (Zagare) of the Sicilian lemon tree.
Vermentino thrives near the sea, such as on Sicily’s west coast where these grapes are cultivated – also the source of some of the island’s best Grillo. Fermentation is in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks followed by a short period on fine lees.
Price per bottle £8.50
